Long-time CD&P MEDIA client The St Vincent de Paul Society is reportedly “impressed and encouraged” by the progress being made on its new ‘Mini Vinnies’ initiative, following the launch of the pilot phase earlier in the year.
Spearheaded by Executive Officer Mike Brady and Development Officer Marj Lightbody, Mini Vinnies is intended to engage youngsters with the SVP’s maxim of ‘Turning Concern into Action’ by encouraging them to consider how they can make a positive difference.
With materials created by CD&P MEDIA the ‘pilot’ has been rolled-out throughout the Shrewsbury Diocese, to around 90 Catholic Primary Schools, and is already receiving great support from many Heads, teachers, parents - and young people.
“We were delighted to see a feature on Mini Vinnies in the recent edition of ‘The Vincentian Concern’ (Issue 36 – Summer 2011).” said Mike. “We are now working to see how and when we can open Mini Vinnies throughout the UK.”The Runcorn-based Rocksavage Power Company commissioned CD&P MEDIA to create its Outage Induction DVD for 2012 this month. The Outage Induction is intended to help maintain Rocksavage’s excellent safety and environmental performance - underlining that safety is the plant’s number one priority.
