About the awards

Aims of the Awards

The Halton Business & Tourism Awards are jointly run by Halton Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise and Runcorn & Widnes Tourism Business Network, supported by Halton Borough Council. Now in their fourth year, the Awards have become firmly established as an important event in the Halton business calendar.

The Awards aim to:

Recognise and reward excellence in business practice
Encourage local organisations to strive for distinction in a range of key areas
Provide a platform for local businesses to raise their profile
Increase awareness of the Borough as a dynamic and vibrant area

Closing date for applications	10th February 2012
Initial sift of applications	17th February 2012
Shortlists announced	24th February 2012
Finalists announced	2nd March 2012
Gala dinner and awards presentations	30th March 2012

Judging Process

Applications will be judged by panels drawn from local business people, the category sponsor, Halton Borough Council, Halton Chamber of Commerce and category specialists.

Entry Criteria

Your business or organisation must have an operational base in the Borough of Halton
You must have been trading for at least 6 months
The business can be any legal entity undertaking legal business

There is no minimum number of employees required to enter – sole traders are welcome to apply.
